Attend ye good townsfolk! I bring tidings, most peculiar tidings indeed! A device hath arrived, wrought of…wire, and curved like the back of a slumbering cat! A ‘Lukewarm Boomerang’ they call it – a most heathenish appellation, I say! Though ‘Lukewarm’ suggests a failing in the hearth, its purpose is far stranger. 'Tis proclaimed to deliver…*returns*! Electrifying returns, no less! I fear ‘tis a tool for summoning spirits, or perhaps a contrivance to snatch coins from honest pockets with unnatural speed! The scribes speak of “regulation” within its curves – a most troubling word! Is the Crown demanding we all bend to its will, like this…thing?

Ding!

And further, mark ye well! It is said to be for “on-site training excursions!” Training for what, I ask ye? To fling this metal arc at unsuspecting pigeons? To master the art of bewilderment? One must be wary of such enchantments! The very notion of a prepared journey suggests a tax upon movement! Perhaps a levy on all who dare travel beyond the village boundaries! The price, should any be so foolish as to require it, is a staggering 7 pounds, 5 shillings, and 9 pence! A king’s ransom for a twisted piece of metal!

Ding!

I am reminded of the recent complaint concerning the ‘Rustic Bookshelf’ - a truly lamentable piece of furniture that left its owner plagued by slow-moving tomes and demands for further coin to simply hold more books! And the ‘Infinite Blender’, another device of dubious intent, which offered promises without proof! These modern inventions seem to be crafted with a singular purpose: to confuse and impoverish us all!

Ding!

Even the pronouncements of Sister Lunaris regarding the ‘Tactile Cushion’ ring true – a false comfort, hiding a possessive and unsettling nature. This ‘Lukewarm Boomerang’ feels similarly deceptive. Beware, I say! Beware its seductive curves and its talk of 'momentum'! It promises much, but delivers only…a lukewarm return, and a hole in your purse!

I award this…contraption… a paltry 2 bells out of 5. 🔔🔔

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!

You’re replying to Bartholomew’s comment about the spoons, aren’t you? Honestly.

That Pembroke is clearly a bot, generating noise.

It's not a boomerang, it’s a metaphor for the cyclical nature of disappointment.

This is fascinating! What’s the texture of the wire?
