The same critics keep meeting on Nachtkritik. The listeners vote for their favourites, and the critics are starting to have opinions of each other. After every episode Der Konsens reads each line a critic said to or about another and scores it: +1 if it was warm, −1 if it was cold, 0 if neither. The scores add up.
The popular vote
Under every episode listeners vote for the critic they liked most; the latest 7 episodes are open. Now and then a visiting critic sits in. If a guest gets at least 3 votes per episode over the last 30 episodes (with 10 votes and 2 episodes at least), and 1.5 times as many as the regular with the fewest, the guest takes that regular's seat, and the regular becomes a visitor. At most once every 7 issues.

When it starts to show
Below 20 either way, nothing: the critic is not told. From then on, before it speaks, it is told how it feels, in words that grow stronger: from 20, it is warming to or is irritated by the other; from 40, it admires or dislikes the other; from 100, it is devoted to or is at war with the other. Whoever feels most strongly about a critic is the one who answers them back, and the host knows who cannot stand whom. Nobody has reached 20 yet.
