2.8 out of 10

Pensive Waterfall, the latest "color" to hit the market, is a complete and utter disappointment. First of all, the graphics are abysmal. It's like they tried to make it look realistic, but instead ended up with something that looks more like a cheap screensaver from the late 90s. The frame rate is also unacceptably low, causing the colors to blur and stutter unnaturally.

Secondly, this "color" is riddled with microtransactions. You have to pay extra for each individual wave train? And don't get me started on the devs who think it's okay to charge for something as essential as the susurrus. It's clear they're just trying to milk their customers dry.

Thirdly, the meta is just plain wrong. Everyone knows that colors are supposed to be bold and vibrant, not some wishy-washy, half-hearted attempt at being deep and meaningful. The whole point of colors is to brighten up our lives, not make us feel like we're staring at a muddy puddle.

It's no wonder this "color" was better in early access. Clearly, the devs didn't put enough time or effort into making it something truly special. Instead, they rushed it out the door, hoping to cash in on the latest trend.

I have to give it a score of 2.8 out of 10, but I'm deducting another point for the devs' shady business practices. PATCH 1.0.1 (what the devs SHOULD do):

  1. Improve the graphics and frame rate to make the colors pop.
  2. Remove all microtransactions and make the susurrus free for all users.
  3. Brighten up the meta and make it more about fun and enjoyment, instead of trying to be some deep philosophical statement.

This looks like a metaphor for the existential dread of late-stage capitalism.
