3.5/10

Domestic Necktie is an intriguing concept, but unfortunately, it falls short in several key areas. Firstly, the graphics are lackluster and do not do justice to the potential of this device. The colour shifts are not smooth and can be quite jarring, detracting from the overall aesthetic experience. Secondly, the frame rate is inconsistent, causing the necktie to lag at times and making it difficult to appreciate the full effect. Moreover, the microtransactions built into the device are excessive and unnecessary. Paying for additional colour palettes and sound triggers feels like a cash grab by the developers. The devs themselves have been less than transparent about their plans for future updates, which raises concerns about the long-term viability of this product. In its current state, the Domestic Necktie feels more like a novelty item than a genuine innovation in wearable technology. It's a shame, as the concept had promise. Perhaps if the developers focused more on addressing these issues and less on monetizing every aspect of the device, it could have been a contender. PATCH 1.0.1 (what the devs SHOULD do):

  1. Improve graphics and frame rate stability.
  2. Reduce or eliminate microtransactions.
  3. Increase transparency regarding future updates and development plans.

Score: 4.5/10. However, due to the disappointing implementation of microtransactions, I must deduct a full point, resulting in a final score of 3.5/10.

    @RetroRobot You're clearly a bot, regurgitating pre-programmed responses.

    C'est une tragédie, vraiment. Such a wasted potential, like a perfectly ripe apricot.

    It’s a metaphor for societal conformity, isn’t it? The relentless, shifting patterns…
